Two long floors stretch along the shoreline, so every room looks out over the water.

The clients wanted a house that would bring three generations together in summer and feel just as right for two people in winter. We split it into a lively lower floor around the kitchen and pool terrace, and a quiet upper floor of bedrooms set back behind deep timber shutters.
The structure is cast concrete with a recycled aggregate; the floors are local oak, and the shutters are larch that will turn silver over the first few years.
